Want to know more about our venue?

Our space is rented by half-day (time slot of 4 hours). A full day includes 2 day parts; a full day with subsequent dinner includes 3 day parts.

Currently, it is not possible to rent Creative Wonderland for private parties.

Included in the rental of the space is the use of the entire space, as well as the garden and adjacent nature area. It also includes the use of all facilities provided (e.g. the TV screens, flipcharts and brainstorming material). Drinks and catering are not included.

The garden and adjacent natural area are always available in all weather conditions. Benches, tables and umbrellas are free to use.

We have several tables and benches scattered around so there is always a corner to be found in the shade. Currently we do not yet have covered meeting areas available outside in case of rain.

We have 2 TV screens available for projections. You can connect to these screens via HDMI cable (with splitter if both screens are used at the same time), wireless or via WePresent. Via WePresent you can control both screens simultaneously and multiple participants can connect and share their computer screen. Several HDMI cables are available.

We also have a portable beamer available in our FabLab.

Our space is well equipped with just about everything you would need for an interactive brainstorming session or training. Everyone gets a notepad and ballpoint pen on the table. There are also 3 flipcharts scattered around the room with markers in many colors, a solid supply of post-its, colored pencils, regular markers, ballpoint pens and much more.

We have extension cords for when you really can't miss your laptop.

And lots of other materials like cards with inspiring questions, craft materials (cardboard, Styrofoam, colored paper as well as tape, scissors and so on). We also have an ample supply of magazines available for a solid session of vision boarding.

We would like to ask you to store the material in an orderly way and not to use more than necessary.

Besides flipcharts, markers, post-its and voting buttons, we also have the famous GPS brainstorm kit in stock (4 specimen), printed versions of the Business Model Canvas and a few more copies of the booklet “Innoveren doe je zo”. Furthermore, there are several reference books available in the Office such as “The Innovation Expedition” by Gijs Van Wulfen and “Creative Problem Solving” by Scott Isaksen.

Yes, you can find that here and in the space itself, near the entrance.

Want to know more about reserving our space?

Contact us preferably via email.  For the most accurate quote, we would need the number of participants, and options for catering. We are always available by phone for questions, a booking is only valid if confirmed by email.

After sending out the quote, we will hold the venue on option for the next 2 weeks. If we receive another request for the same date within that period, we will contact you and ask you to confirm or choose another date within 48 hours (2 business days).

After confirming the offer, I will send an information sheet about 2 weeks before your booking. This information sheet includes the final number of people, the catering requirements and the layout of the room. After the event, our invoice is sent by e-mail. The number of people as mentioned in the information sheet is used as a basis for the invoicing. If unexpectedly some participants cannot attend, please contact us as soon as possible. If possible, and depending on our suppliers, we will gladly take this into account.

Our invoices are always payable within 14 days.

What about catering?

For groups of up to 12 people, you can choose either a salad or a sandwich lunch (options are not combinable).

The salad is either served as a salad-in-a-jar or as a buffet.

The sandwich lunch is 3 different sandwiches and wraps with a variety of toppings. A salad is provided as a gluten-free option (subject to surcharge).

Soup can always be provided on request.

You can choose the total package of snacks. We provide a selection of seasonal fruit, nut mix and something sweet. Something for everyone.

You certainly can. For emptying the fridge, we charge a flat fee of €15. For the use of glasses, cups, and plates, we charge a flat rate of €5 per person. The space does not have its own kitchen.

Included in the drinks buffet are coffee, tea, herbal infusions, and water. Coffee-with-milk lovers can choose a frothed coffee with oat milk or a dash of regular milk found in the small refrigerator. In addition, you can use our large refrigerator filled with soft drinks, local beers, wine and bubbles. These drinks are charged per consumption.

That is also possible! Our refrigerator is available with bubbles (also non-alcoholic), local regional beers, non-alcoholic beers, pints and apple juice. These drinks are charged per consumption.

We can also provide you with some appetizers. A tapas board with cheeses, salami and sausages, complemented with olives or chips as the perfect accompaniment.

Want to know more about where to find us?

Parking is free and ample at the church or down our street. No parking for participants is provided in our driveway. Deliveries may have access at all times, however, provided we are notified in advance.

Meeting in nature in our case has the consequence that our space is poorly accessible by public transportation. There is a bus stop in front of our door: “Meldert Sint-Ermelindiskerk”. We are happy to arrange a shuttle service from the Leuven or Tienen station.

Meldert is easily accessible via the Boutersem exit on the E40 Brussels - Liège highway. After a short 10-minute drive through the fields, you're already there... Want to know more? Read our blog Travel Time here.

Any other questions?

Our space is ideally located at the start of the beautiful Mene and Jordaan hike. This hike starts at the Sint-Ermelindis church in Meldert and leads you through the beautiful nature reserve of the Mene and Jordaan valley with its rolling hills, viewpoint Pallox among the apple and pear trees, towards the nearby village of Hoksem to return to the center of Meldert and Meldertbos. The entire 9 km walk can be nicely shortened to 3 or 5 km. Plans for the hike can be found in our Office. Appropriate footwear is highly recommended, even in summer the dirt roads are muddy.

Meldertbos, managed by Natuurpunt, and the Sint Janscollege are also nice destinations. Again, adapted footwear is also required here.

Among others, we can recommend Tech4Fun for either a Citygame that takes you past beautiful Sint Janscollege or an in-house VR escape game.

When building our space, we took several sustainability aspects into account:

  • Our space has a heat pump that heats in the winter and keeps the space cool in the summer (provided windows and doors remain closed).
  • To prevent the space from overheating, we have provided ports for the 2 large windows to keep the heat out. For sustainability reasons, our space does not have an air conditioning system.
  • Professional ventilation provides continuous freshening of indoor air.
  • Our toilets are flushed with rainwater.
  • All lighting is energy efficient.
  • Waste is sorted.
  • We serve bio-labeled coffee and tea.
