About us

I, Fransiska, graduated in Leuven (Applied Economics) ages ago. Driven by an urge to prove myself, paired with a strong sense of justice already back then, I started at one of the Big 5 audit firms (yes, back then there were still five ☺️). After 5 years of hard work and gathering tonnes of experience, but with that vague feeling of not really being in the right place, I made the move to the finance department of a large bank-insurance group. A much-needed breather. But, honestly, also incredibly confronting. And while it quickly became clear that this wasn’t my place either, I couldn’t quite put my finger on what was. So eventually I made the leap to an international organisation responsible for the interbank network. As a financial controller. And I had a fantastic time there. I got to take part in a high-potentials programme and was introduced to topics like change management and innovation.

Now THAT was interesting! What a delight to be in that group of passionate people, with trainings, brainstorms and visual storytelling activities, like shooting a stop-motion video, for example. My final challenge there was the role of Continuous Improvement Lead for the finance department. I’ll honestly admit: I underestimated that role enormously. That’s where I discovered just how essential trust is. Nobody wants to improve their work if it means eventually losing their job. Nobody opens their mouth if they know they’ll be punished afterwards. The fear and distrust quietly running through the departments, the lack of cooperation, combined with two children in 18 months, a lack of self-knowledge, and a renovation, eventually led to a burn-out. After several trainings, Professional and Systemic Coach, Facilitator, Children’s Coach, Photography, and now also herbalist, everything has fallen into place.

I, Kristof, have been working in the IT sector for nearly 25 years now and held different positions, where the clearly creative and innovative projects have always exerted an irresistible pull and offered the most fun at work. After first spending five years at a leading international organisation, I was drawn to a start-up bringing a new product to the Belgian hospital market. After that I worked a few years as an independent consultant on various assignments, before being drawn once again to an innovative company that automates a field traditionally manual and labour-intensive.

This journey eventually led to the launch of a new company (Sparkle), which applies that innovation to a new technology (Microsoft) and continues to evolve to innovate companies’ business models through the strategic use of data. But it isn’t all IT in my world. Detours through trainings as Professional Coach and Systemic Coach, and as Facilitator, have broadened my view of the world. Working in and on our garden, caring for our many , and that gives me the grounding I need. And while I’m mostly active behind the scenes and still working in the IT sector, I secretly dream of a few more critters: in the form of my very own bee colony.
